Over the weekend Park Jung Min from SS501 came over to Singapore for his solo album “Not Alone” Promotion. Holding a press conference on Friday, fan sign session on Saturday, his promotions in Singapore ended with a fan meeting session at St James Dragonfly. Despite the rain and humidity, fans queued up for the fan meet hours before the event, some even started queuing from as early as 5am. I’m sure these fans do not regret this decision as Park Jung Min provided the fans in the front row some amazing fan services.
He started off the fan meet with “If You Cant”, his solo song from SS501 collection, followed by a short interview after the performance. During the interview, Park Jung Min was asked to show how he would ask a girl out. Walking towards one of the fans in the first row, he extended his hand towards the fan and asked “你可以做我的女朋友吗？” which meant Actively making use of his mandarin skills, he communicated with the fans and host majority of the time in mandarin, closing the language barrier gap.
A short game took place where 4 lucky winners’ numbers were picked from a box. The lucky winners received the privilege of staring at Park Jung Min for a minute as they sketched him out on a board. Park Jung Min even added special touches to their drawings when he was looking at each drawing. When announcing the results, he was so close to some of the fans that if they would be surprised if they knew.
Performing the 2nd song of the night, Park Jung Min specially prepared a mandarin song for the fans called “Forever Love” originally sang by Lee Hom from Taiwan. Personally listening to it live, it felt really amazing as his pronunciation was close to perfect, and his vocals were amazing without a doubt.
Next host of the day, Ah Ken invited 4 fans who were able to dance Park Jung Min’s “Not Alone” up the stage for a mini dance competition where they had to dance to the chorus of the song. Park Jung Min first showed the fans how the dance goes and giving them some pointers before each of them danced to it.
On the day of the fan sign, a fan cried as she was too happy to meet Park Jung Min up close, this time, Park Jung Min accidentally made another fan cry at the fan sign when he accidentally bumped into her when he was going about choosing the winner causing the girl to think she was the winner. In the end he chose her as the winner, and the winner had the opportunity of a lifetime, to be fed by Park Jung Min. Flying all the way from Vietnam, I’m pretty sure she’s thrilled to be this lucky winner.
Following next, he performed another song from his mini album called “Everyday Is Christmas” before he continued another activity with the fans. Before the event, fans were given a piece of paper to write down their message/question to Park Jung Min and in this activity, Park Jung Min personally chose 4 lucky winners who won the opportunity to take an instant photo with him in various intimate positions. He even carried the last fan bridal style for the photo.
Other than ending the fan meeting session by singing to his hit song “Not Alone”, Park Jung Min ended his album promotional events in Singapore.
